Suits is a short film that I volunteered to help create in cooperation with some of the people I know from the Summit theatre department. Since they couldn't actively practice theatre performances in larger groups due to the pandemic, they decided to have students create their own films so that they could run their own virtual film festival. The film spanned over 6 shooting days in the fall, and was edited over the winter. The film was mainly shot on my Sony 50mm Zeiss f1.4, because most of the scenes were in low light and I wanted to mainly focus on character movement and expression. Despite some of the challenges faced in production, I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality and performances in this film. The color grading of the HLG3 bt.2020 footage was also a fun activity, below I have images of my "Suits Castle" render made in Blender with the color grades of the different scenes. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this project what it is!
