Here is an APA style essay that I wrote for my COM300B class in preparation for my capstone at Southern Oregon University. This essay is basically a deep dive into the mechanics and aesthetics of lenses, so that I could learn more about their qualities and uses.
This video I created during my 2022 spring term at SOU to test the workflow of using 12-bit C-Raw CLog3 footage from the Canon C200 cinema camera in preparation of future projects such as the DCIN Crew Experience. I edited and color graded the project in Davinci Resolve, a software that I have found to be extremely powerful since starting with it in the fall.
This video once again used the C200 recording in the same format, however it was mainly to test of the Matthews Studio Equipment Doorway Dolly that we were going to use for the Crew Experience class. The long take of Tyler's completely improv performance in the DMC studio was done by smoothly traversing the rest of the open studio space while Jack, the camera operator, kept focus on the subject. This video was also made as the final for my DCIN 321 Cinematography class, hence the change in styles for the second half of the video. Audio recording was done by a C200 mounted shotgun mic via XLR, and the guitar was recorded by directly recording the amp output with a Tascam.
