"Act 4" is the second film I volunteered to help create in cooperation with the Summit Theatre Department. Since they couldn't actively practice theatre performances in larger groups due to the pandemic, they decided to have students create their own films so that they could run their own virtual film festival. This film was Written and Directed by Jadon Berg, and I served as the DP, Editor and Special Effects Editor. The version on my channel (shown above) has the music I initially put with the film, Jadon later made a different version with a more classical styled soundtrack. In this film, I mainly focused on how the characters move through a location to make the progressions of scenes more seamless. Additionally, I also focused on making some brutal special effects as requested. There were a couple technical difficulties on set, mainly related to different types of lightbulbs or lighting conditions indoors. However, all in all, I think the film came together well.
And yes, editing special effects to make your friends to die in films never stops feeling weird.
